
fist pounding and head bobbing infected the crowd thursday evening as hip-hop giants Mos Def and Talib Kweli took the stage. the tour was structured to promote Mos' new album ecstatic while Talib served as his right hand man. i was no exception to masses, as i belted out every lyric i knew. the classics were not over looked but mostly we stood wide eyed as alot of new tracks were performed. Mos was visibly thoughtful in his stage presence. i particularly noticed how he abandoned contemporary hip-hip dance to honor the spirit of the late micheal jackson the entire show. he had total commitment to the movements. even his gold-fastened dress shoes fit the part...which later seemed necessary so he could pull off the moonwalk...
