puttin the T in terry...
i constantly study videos to understand what makes them great(or otherwise).
my notes: to engage an audience for over 17minutes, SHOW BOOBS.
oh and the text(the font and its placement) is horrid....

first thing's first....
in an attempt to broaden my horizons (and possibly lengthen my resume), i will be tryin my hand at DJ'ing for the first time tonight. its kinda an internship of sorts. strictly vinyl!!
another reason being...when you ask yourself 'when's the last time you did something for the 1st time??' you shouldnt have to think about it too hard.

seeing red...
a very talented artist and friend, Mike Stein just recently left for a career opportunity in the middle of the country. looks like Mitchell and Ness and the ever-so thrilling world of NHL could not hold his attention here in philadelphia. and i dont blame him! he just so happens to be one of the funniest people i know....and i think thats what i miss most of all.
stayin within the parameters of my new found interest in RED...here is one of his pieces, entitled "looking without seeing".

seriously hysterical...
i have read several articles on Freud lately and was surprised to learn of a pretty hysterical concept in medical history.
at one point in his career, he did studies on a disorder called 'female hysteria'. i had never heard of such a thing. from the name alone, i imagined it would be some misogynist reference towards women who were out spoken...hahaha and i wasnt too far off. i learned it was a term for, what is now simply known as, female sexual frustration. this 'illness' dates back to ancient Greece. apparently women who suffered from such problems as feeling restless would be forced to seek medical attention. i also discovered that the attempt to cure the symptoms lead to the invention of the first vibrator in the 1900's. the irony is that this device came into existence because of the utter lack of understanding that physicians had for the female body. HAHAHA. amazing. thats like finding out a vegetarian invented the recipe for A1 sauce....
now please realize that this a scientific discussion and i'd rather not get into any more vulgar details but she will....hahahha

its the thought...
my grandmother gave me one of my grandfather's cameras. its a polaroid that came out in the early 90's...made to resemble a vintage brownie, with a popup bellow.
i was pretty excited...she even found some film. took a pic, but to my dismay, it was all a bust. the camera jams and the film didnt keep. dont think she knew to refrigerate it.
still counts in my book...
DIM...
not only did i want to share this video because it inspires me...but i also wanted the challenge of rippin the embedded html from pages of code. a small feat for some...but im pretty siked for having Did It Myself.
LOL...
i know its a commercial...and i feel slightly disenchanted because of it but its still a brilliant video. i guess its like hearing a corny joke that makes you actually laugh out loud. you resist being entertained by it but you are...
btw, i love corny jokes. especially the ones that take a minute to get....because you are in disbelief that the punchline is that silly :)

crosshairs in site...
ive been workin on my site for weeks, building pages with descriptive text...but now im reconsidering the layout.
should i just do something clean and simple like this??
dunno....
ask me no questions...
wow! had a crazy nightmare friday night. my teeth were uncontrollably fallin out.
sounds gross and horrible and believe me...it was! not all bad though...my recently decease grandfather was there to comfort me AND i realized towards the end of the dream that i had new, better teeth growing in. phew! there was no need to worry. but after this vivid dream i became curious to know the sub-conscious reason for this epic scenario. i learned that 'falling teeth dreams' are most often the case of anxiety. specifically for me, the worry of 'deceived'.....
i never quite figured out the truth vs the possible lie i encountered but just like in my dream....im over it. i got new and improved 'teeth' coming my way...hahahaha.
lesson learned: your bullshit meter and your sub-conscious have the potential to work the same way. think its somewhere near your wisdom tooth...

daring...
a labor of love...no doubt, but totally worth it. this is my video for jewelry designer, Heidi Roland. through stylized senses of sight and sound, i illustrated the various types of women 'who dare' to wear her pieces. capturing this message through video brings the entire brand to life....
im tryin to take on more and more these days......i also played the role of wardrobe stylist and composer on this one. hell yeah!!

ok?!?!!?
im a HUGE fan, but i was abit baffled with Beyonce's musical selection for her Grammy performance...for a few reasons.
1.(and most importantly) she has lady gaga on her damn heels after her pop-goddess title and i expected her to blow minds as a means to hold her positioning. 'if i were a boy' just doesnt have that kinda je ne sais quoi...
2 the chick is married to one of the wealthiest young entrepreneurs in america...collectively they gross 400million. i think her opportunity to speak about being jaded over boys is slightly expired.
3. alanis morissette? a medley into 'you oughta know'...uumm ok?!?! dont get me wrong...i was 14 once and owned that album, but did i mention i was 14?!?!!?
